Woman, daughter publicly tortured in Muzaffargarh MUZAFFARGARH: A poor woman and her 12-year-old daughter were allegedly made undressed and tortured publicly on Saturday evening, Geo news reported.

Sources said the barbaric accused suspected that the son of that woman had maintained some illicit relations with his (suspect’s) daughter.

Meanwhile, former area councilor and eyewitnesses have confirmed occurrence of torture on woman and her young daughter after making duo naked in public through use of force.

Police sources claimed issuance of medical checkup for both ladies to determine the truthfulness of their allegations through a medical report.

Subsequently, an FIR will be lodged against the alleged suspect in light of the said medical report, police said further.

Meanwhile, the accused, while defying charges leveled upon him, said the matter was of the distribution of water, which has also rendered my friend injured.

Rehman denies barring intel sharing ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik Saturday has rejected Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif's blame that his province was being denied intelligence sharing from federal intelligence agencies.

I will resign if it was proved that I stopped intelligence sharing and challenged CM Punjab to resign if proved wrong, Rehman said.

He vowed to continue the policy of reconciliation

Nawaz rebukes anti-Punjab statements LAHORE: PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has condemned the recent statements issued from the Center after the suicide attacks on Data Darbar against the Punjab.

He was addressing a press conference here today. He suggested that we need to adopt strategies as formulated by UK-USA to fight terror and we should be proactive. The government did not tasked parliamentary committee to suggest ways to curb this menace.

Punjab CM has been asked to establish counter-terrorism force, he told media men. PML-N ready to organize national conference on this issue to evolve a consensus, concerned Nawaz said.

Nawaz supported talks with those Taliban who agree to negotiate.

Altaf for establishing 'Haq Parast' army to fight terror

Altaf for establishing KARACHI: Chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Altaf Hussain, said attack on the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (Data Darbar) in Lahore on Thursday night was an attack on humanity.

Altaf expressed these views during his telephonic address from London. He suggested that people should develop a private security culture in the country for their safety. He called for establishing 'Haq Parast' army to fight terror.

MQM Chief urged people to remain vigilant against suspected people in their vicinity.

Altaf reiterated that his party would continue to work for bringing peace and stability in the country, adding that he has been warning of terror threats since long.

He directed the people to remain vigilant of any plot against the country.
